Yes. For now, we are only serving lunches. When necessary in the future, services including other meals can be provided.

 

Question: How can I benefit from catering service?

 

You can benefit from catering service by using your Student ID card on which you load money that will be given to you by our university.

 

Question: I lost my Instutional Identity Card. Does the amount of loaded money reset?

 

No. Since your last balance is registered in the system, if you apply, your balance will be transferred from your old card to your new card.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PART TIME STUDENT EMPLOYMENT (KZÖ) 

 

What is the purpose of part time student employment?

 

The aim is to contribute to our students to be raised as productive individuals who have acquired the business discipline. We provide them both financially and know-how by employing them in temporary jobs during their free time out of their course hours according to their interests and abilities.

 

Who is a Part-Time Student?

 

It is named as a student who is employed in temporary jobs in the academic and administrative units of our university and is not counted as a regular worker.

 

 

Who can work as a Part Time Student?

 

Students who are enrolled in any of the undergraduate and graduate programs (except for non-thesis programs and preparatory classes), who have been studying during the normal educational period and who have not received any disciplinary punishment, can work as a part-time student at our University.

 

What kind of jobs does a  PTS (Part time student) do?

 

The students are obliged to contribute to the directors, employees and instructors without disrupting the working order in that unit in order to carry out the work and transactions more quickly and efficiently. In general, they can carry simple office works that do not require expertise and related to the subject.

 

What kind of jobs can a  PTS not do?

 

Students can not work in the units of student grading, especially in units of cleaning, transport, etc.

 

How many hours per month can I work maximum?

 

The working hours cannot exceed 7 hours per day, maximum 15 hours per week and 60 hours per month.

 

What is the maximum monthly fee?

 

It cannot exceed a quarter of the minimum wage.

 

Who organizes working hours?

 

The Directors of the units decide on the distribution of the working hours.

 

Do students work on holidays and at weekends?

 

Although students are not obliged to work during the national holidays as provided by law, if necessary, they have to work on the units that are open at the weekends, nights and during national holidays upon the request of the unit director.

 

Can I work at more than one unit?

 

No, you can't work. There is no right to work in two different units.

 

Does being in employment cause stoppage of my scholarship?

 

When you work as a part-time student at our university, it does not cause any stoppage of your scholarship. See Article 46 of Law No. 2547.

 

I get orphan's pension from the Social Security Institution (SSI), when I work part-time, does it cause any reduction in my orphan’s pension?

 

Students who receive an orphan's pension from the SSI do not have their pensions deducted when they work part-time.

 

Does the fact that I work as PTS affect the health insurance which I receive

through my family negatively?

 

It does not terminate the general health insurance you have through your family. You can still receive health benefits from your family.

 

When are the PTS recruitments?

 

Recruitements are carried out at the beginning of each academic year (in October).

 

How do I apply for a job?

 

You can apply to SKS via the link http://sks.asbu.edu.tr as part-time student between the dates specified.

 

Who selects PTS?

Under the chairmanship of the unit administrator, a commission composed of at least three members from the concerned unit make the decision considering whether the applicant fulfills the requirements of specification number 6 in the regulation, whether they get another scholarship and their timetables.  Choices and substitutes are chosen in line with the quota assigned for that specific unit. In case the student quits, or the contract is terminated, etc. the substitute applicants are appointed.

 

What are the required documents to start working?

 

  1. Copy of the birth certificate
  2. Student Certificate (Currently dated)
  3. Two headshots
  4. Health certificate (which can be received from community health centers)
  5. Document showing no disciplinary action
  6. Criminal record certificate
  7. Document indicating the salary roll of mother, father and student (currently dated) and the proof of unemployment letter (from from e-devlet).
  8. Bank account information (Contracted bank with the University)
  9. SGK Provision Certificate
  10. Certificate of identity register copy (e-devlet)
  11. Academic record

When is the salary paid?

 

The 15th of the previous month and the 14th day of the current month are considered as one month. Your salary for this period is transferred to your bank account until the 1st day of the month at the latest.

 

I worked previously as PTS at the university and what should I do?

 

Students who worked before in our university have to apply again to the jobs.

 

I have a green passport and in case I work as PTS is my passport canceled?

 

Since only short-term insurance branches (labor accidents, occupational diseases and sickness insurance) provisions are practiced as insurance premium, part-time workers in our University do not lose their green passports as a right.

Does part-time working affect my retirement?

Since students who have worked or will work part-time in our university are not granted the long-term branches as insurance premium, according to the related articles, there is no impact on their retirement.

Can I get unemployment pay after I quit?

In accordance with the provisions of the related law, you can not get unemployment pay since unemployment premium is not paid.

How many members are required to constitute a Student Community?

There must be at least 12 (twelve) founding members

Can the chairman of the community preside at another community?

The chairman of a student community cannot be a member of the corporate board of another community. However, the chairman may be a member of another student community and may participate in the events.

Is it possible that an instructor can be a consultant to more than one student community?

Answer: No

Who can become a member of a Student Community?

All students enrolled in our university can become members.
